  1. Well you should make the English version of the manual easier to find on line or you should include it in the package. I bought mine in the Czech Republic. Box had english on it, but no english in the manual.

The charger is efficient and handy. The only issue I found was that because the unit is pre-programmed going from dead to 12V is not easy. Firstly it appears the unit won’t charge if voltage is less than +/- 3. Once 3.8-7.3 is deteced the unit will allow trickle charge at 0.8 amp. I’m not sure what happens between 8 -12 V because at 8 -12 volt the unit would not let me select any program. If the unit charges, it would be on program 1. The solution I found was firstly to disconnect the battery from the car, so that there was absolutely no drain while charging. Second, hook the battery via jumper cable a running car so that voltage reaches at least 10V. At that level Motorcylce program can run. Once the battery crosses the 12V threshold the unit allows Program 3 automobile @ 5 Amp to run.

I cannot say the above is precise but that’s the general direction. In other words, the unit is great for the topping up, but going from flat to fully charged to me is a question mark. It is possible I suppose the unit will trickle charge for several hours and then sooner or later get to the level where Mode 3 automobile can be selected, but I am sure.

The unit works fine, it’s easy to use and for the price probably is good value. Like many of Lidl’s house brands, it’s reliable and I am not sorry I for the purchase at all.
